5 Officers completed the Blue Card Command Training. During the training participants completed nearly 80 total hours of combined internet, classroom, and hands-on scenario based training. Command Officers from Fort Wayne, Auburn, and Southwest Allen County Fire Department also completed the program. Fort Wayne Fire Department hosts the Command Training Center at the Public Safety Academy of Northeast Indiana. Fort Wayne is home to 1 of 3 Command Training Centers, with Centers also in South Bend, and Johnson County just south of Indianapolis. The CTC Blue Card Training Program was developed by Retired Phoenix Fire Department Chief Alan Brunacini. Representing New Haven-Adams Township Fire Department was EMS Chief Ed Lytal, Operation Chief’s Brad Parker & Carl Bradtmueller, Asst. Chief Randy Linker, and Josh Hale.
